I’m on my way
Cars are racing past
some leave unwanted speckles
but I’ll keep going
Each stride takes me closer
The cloudburst is drenching
Cold arrows pierce my bones;
Sometimes it’s the wrath of the sun
that sears all over
But I’ll keep going
My limbs are aching
They’ve been dashed
against innumerable pebbles,
along this curvy way
But I’ll keep going
And I’ll keep going
right on my way
Because it’s my course
These voices
will rant over and again
But I’ll keep going
I know where I’ll stop
It’s not halfway
through the line
but at the end
of the journey.
